Itinerary:

07:30 – 08:00 AM: The driver and our tour guide pick you up from your hotel.  Just a two-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho is a peaceful riverside city and the ideal gateway to the lush, water-rich region of the Mekong Delta. This tour takes you deep into the rhythms of local life, where palm-lined canals, floating boats, and gentle river breezes define the landscape.  Your journey begins with a scenic boat trip along the Tien River, a major branch of the Mekong. Along the way, you’ll observe the daily lives of people living along the riverbanks — from fishing to transporting goods on small boats. The boat stops at one of the nearby islets, where you’ll stroll through lush orchards, taste fresh tropical fruits straight from the garden, and enjoy a live performance of Don Ca Tai Tu, a traditional form of Southern Vietnamese folk music recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.  Next, you’ll visit a local bee farm, where you’ll learn about traditional honey harvesting methods and sample honey kumquat tea, a refreshing and healthful drink.   Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a riverside restaurant featuring authentic Mekong dishes.  In the afternoon, unwind as you ride a traditional sampan through narrow palm-shaded canals, taking in the peaceful natural beauty of the delta. Before heading back, stop by a local coconut candy workshop, where you can see how this regional specialty is made using traditional techniques.  On the way back to Saigon, the driver will stop for a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda – one of the most famous pagodas in My Tho.
